Earth Lab Advances Water Innovation and Climate Resilience at PHILWATER 2026

Earth Lab highlighted its commitment to sustainable water solutions, coastal protection, and climate resilience during the 32nd Philippine Water Works Association (PWWA) International Conference and Exhibition, known as PHILWATER 2026, held from October 19 to 21 at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City.

Anchored on the theme, “Water Security for All: Resilience, Innovation, and Inclusive Growth,” the conference brought together delegates, water utility professionals, engineers, researchers, regulators, and exhibitors from the Philippines and abroad to exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to improving water security and sustainability.

During the opening ceremony, a representative from the Iloilo City Government delivered the Welcome Message, welcoming conference participants and underscoring the importance of collaboration in addressing water security and environmental challenges.

Earth Lab contributed to the conference’s discussions through Earth Lab President, Angelo Valenton who presented on
“Regional Collaboration on Coastal Protection and Climate Resilience.” The presentation highlighted the importance of regional partnerships and coordinated initiatives in protecting coastal communities and strengthening resilience against climate-related challenges.

Further supporting the conference’s focus on water innovation, Emmanuel Codia, Business Development Supervisor of Earth Lab, conducted a technical session titled “Solving Reverse Osmosis: Achieving High Recovery with Low Energy.” The session explored approaches to optimizing reverse osmosis systems to achieve higher water recovery while reducing energy consumption, contributing to more efficient and sustainable water treatment opeations. Earth Lab's participation underscored the role of technological innovation, knowledge sharing, and cross-sector collaboration in addressing the evolving needs of the water industry. Its contributions aligned with the conference’s broader goal of advancing practical and sustainable solutions that help communities secure reliable water resources while responding to environmental and climate challenges.

PHILWATER 2026 served as an important platform for connecting industry experts, water service providers, and technology innovators to exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships toward a more resilient water sector.

Through its participation, Earth Lab reaffirmed its commitment to supporting water security, promoting energy-efficient water treatment technologies, and advancing collaborative approaches to coastal protection and climate resilience in the Philippines.
